Our speaker is John Davidson, a local former teacher and an archivist, who will tell the story is of the Topsham built, former Royal Navy ‘bomb vessel, ship that was lost on the ill-fated Sir John Franklin Antarctic expedition in 1845 together with HMS Erebus. She was discovered at the bottom of the sea in 2014.
